[4K] JaguarBoard, another Single Board Computer you may have not heard of

Hi everyone,

It is time to show you yet another Single Board Computer (or SBC, for short). This time, I’ll show you the JaguarBoard. It is a little computer that houses an Intel Atom Z3735G clocked at 1.33Ghz with Turbo Boost to 1.83Ghz. It also has 1GB of RAM and 16GB eMMC Storage, which is perfect to install Windows 10 32bit Edition. However, installing Windows 10 is not straightforward since this machine has 2 different BIOS, of which one is for Linux OSes and the other is for Windows itself, so we have to flash the Windows BIOS first to be able to install Windows 10 in it.

If you ask where do I get to know these little unknown machines, well, they got a Kickstarter Campaign and I backed them, all being little cheap machines capable of running Windows 10 but most important the fact that the price and their specs are perfect for running BOINC (Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing). Believe me, if I had the money I would have backed the $500 pledge so I could get the 10 JaguarBoards, since these also don’t use too much power (10 Watts as maximum (5 Volts * 2 Amps = 10 Watts)), I could stack them all on top of each other and have it running 24/7 as I do with my current JaguarBoard that you will see below, along with the instructions to run Windows 10 in it.

So, first, here is the unboxing video:

Next step is to flash the Windows BIOS to the JaguarBoard. You can get the BIOS file at the Downloads section of the JaguarBoard website or by clicking here. The BIOS file is called UEFI.zip:

Finally, we can install Windows 10 in it, but please watch this video ’till the end since we need to install several drivers to this board as well. You can also download the drivers in the Downloads section of the JaguarBoard website or by clicking here. The drivers file is called Drivers.zip:

So there you have it. Now you have Windows 10 installed in this little and amazing Single Board Computer. The performance is great! It runs the CPU at 1.55Ghz! That’s a 222Mhz boost!!! Well, the CPU itself can go up to 1.83Ghz but when all 4 cores are used it goes up to 1.55 or 1.57Ghz. Here you can see this machine running BOINC:

That’s all! I hope you enjoyed the videos! And you can order your JaguarBoard at http://jaguarboard.org/
