Today, we will see a Coca-Cola machine that is found on some fast-food restaurants. This machine is different than the usual drink dispenser as this one only has one dispenser. So you may wonder, how does it dispense the drink you want? The answer to that lies in the touch screen and how it is made internally.

These machines have a touch screen that allow you to select your preferred drink. It also dispenses ice via the handle on the back. Once you have selected a drink in the touch screen, press and keep the button in between the dispenser and the touch screen pressed and it will fill your cup.

In the above image, we can see that this machine is opened to service it. These machines use “cartridges” with each one being a different flavor. It uses LED lights to indicate which ones are depleted and needs to be changed. Once serviced, the machine will allow the selection of drinks not available, which are shown as gray until it is changed.

This machine concept is really cool and modern, in my opinion. The only downside to it is that sometimes you have to touch the screen hard so that it accepts the drink you want. Now, I’m not sure if it is a touch screen problem or if the machine computer is just slow. Sometimes the User Interface is sluggish and takes a few seconds to change, but other times, it changes fast. This leaves this question unanswered, but if you see a machine like this, now you have seen how it works on the inside.
