Verizon recently collocated themselves on an existing cell tower near Paddock Mall, in Ocala, Florida. This tower already had T-Mobile, AT&T, and Boost cells. Verizon was not part of this tower but literally have one almost next to it.

Verizon made an interesting move in using a Galtronics GP6536-08157 antenna in it, a first on Ocala. Also interesting is that the antenna is installed on a single sector.

There seem to be remote radio units installed on all of the sectors, but as can be seen in the image above, they seem to connect to the massive Galtronics antenna.

It beams mostly to the South of SW 27 Ave.

This new collocation is complementing the existing Verizon eNB 145801 and formerly the eNB 445801, which has been off since almost mid-December 2025.

I took these photos of the tower when it was being modified, taken near the now-closed Hooters.

It’s nice that Verizon is doing some upgrades in Mario County, but they need to add a bit more strength near 200 by the Sam’s Club.
