UPDATE 12/29/2018: Video here: https://moisescardona.me/hidizs-ap80-ldac-video Hi everyone, Today morning, it came to my attention that there was a new firmware update for the Hidizs AP80 Digital Audio player. I downloaded and installed it, and surprise! We have LDAC support now! This means that it can be used as an LDAC bluetooth receiver and should also work as a transmitted, altough I haven’t tested this mode yet. To test the Hidizs AP80 LDAC functionality, I tried using my phone but for…
Hi everyone, Today, I’d like to show you some pictures of the Hidizs DH1000 Circuit Board. We need to take out the top and bottom glass first. You can remove the top glass if you want to see the main chips, and you can remove the bottom glass to take a look at the battery. Please note that the glasses are completely glued, not just the borders, so you’ll need something that you can use to carefully remove the glue…
Hi everyone, Today, I’d like to show you my Nintendo Switch connected to the Tunai Square Bluetooth DAC in USB Wired mode. This DAC came bundled with my Tunai Wand which I backed in Kickstarter. The DAC is a USB Audio Class 1.0 device, meaning it is compatible with the Nintendo Switch in Wired mode. Just connect it and you’re ready to go! Just a word of caution: Lower the Switch volume! This DAC produces very loud sound, so lower…
Today, I’ll show you this simple photo where I have connected my HiBy R3 to the Hidizs AP80. By doing this, the Hidizs AP80 acts as a USB DAC (Digital Analog Converter) while the HiBy R3 acts as the source: Post Views: 14
Hi everyone,
Yesterday, I received the Hidizs AP80 Digital Audio Player from their [kickstarter campaign](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/873263862/hidizs-ap80-next-generation-ultraportable-hifi-mus). After that, I received a tracking number which is of no use because of course, I already have the unit here and it shows as “Delivered”, so it came as a surprise and was shipped by Amazon since they fullfill US orders from them.
So, here’s my unboxing video that I recorded of this tiny (smaller than I expected) audio player. Enjoy!
Hi everyone, Today, I’ve released v1.4 of Opus GUI: This version is actually a bug fix that the software had for some time with no reports of it, and it was a silly bug. It didn’t allowed you to specify a bitrate higher than 100kbit/s. Now, with that fixed, you can encode files up to 320kbit/s. Yay! You can download this new release at GitHub here: https://github.com/moisesmcardona/opus_gui/releases/tag/v1.4 Enjoy! Post Views: 2
Hi everyone, Today, I bring you a new version of opusenc.exe, using libopus 1.3-rc2-2-ga8e2a2b1-dirty: This version brings the changes performed up to today’s commit, but I also upped the Speex Resampler quality from 5 to 10, as you can see in the following image: As usual, I’m encoding my files using the latest commit. Also, I’ve updated Opus GUI to include this build: Download links: opusenc – opus-tools 0.2-dirty (using libopus 1.3-rc2-2-ga8e2a2b1-dirty) with resampler quality 10 Opus GUI v1.3 with…

Hi everyone, Today, I’d like to show you the Cave UC3 3D Surround Earbuds, which I got as part of their Kickstarter campaign. These are a USB-C or Apple Lightning Earbuds, depending on the version you get, and is compatible with USB-C devices that support USB Audio and of course, Apple devices if you chose the Lightning version. It has an in-line control and microphone. The in-line control allows you to change the audio sound profile, enabling their virtual surround…
