A Transparent Blue Refurbished Nintendo DS Lite

A Transparent Blue Refurbished Nintendo DS Lite

Hi everyone,

In the past few months, I got a “refurbished” transparent blue Nintendo DS Lite and wanted to share it with you. The unit is really beautiful, really transparent and cool to look at the insides. The shipping experience was really positive and even through it is marketed as a refurbished unit, it actually looks and feels like new.

The unit came without a console box. Instead, it came wrapped inside a small shipping box along with a USB charging cable:

Both the front and back came protected with a protective sheet:

I took it off, and here’s without the sheets:

When opening it, you can see the LCD screens, with basically no scratches:

Refurbished Nintendo DS Lite 7

When powering it on, we can see the screens have a cool white color:

Refurbished Nintendo DS Lite 8

Games really look amazing in this model:

The color tone is cool, and looks very sharp and detailed. I’m not sure if these are third-party screens, given this is a refurbished model. The motherboard is of course, genuine, but the rest of the components may not be. However, whoever built this refurbished unit did an excellent job. The only downside that I really noticed is that the touch screen requires a bit more of pressure than usually required, but this may be due to third-party hardware. In reality, you don’t have to do a lot of pressure, but just a bit. The games all work and I haven’t had any button problems at all. Also questionable is the unit serial number. It really is not important, since this is an already discontinued model and out of official support, but it seems odd to have it on a third-party shell.

Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase, after all, I got it for just about $53 dollars. A really good deal!

Unboxing Project Highrise: Architect’s Edition for Nintendo Switch

Hi everyone,

Today, we will be looking at Project Highrise: Architect’s Edition for the Nintendo Switch.

I got this game because I loved playing The Tower SP back on the days of the Gameboy Advance:

Then came the Nintendo DS and it got The Tower DS, but only in Japan. Coming forward to the present day, we got Project Highrise, which was released for several platforms.

Project Highrise is basically an adaption of the original SimTower game, of which both The Tower SP and The Tower DS were also based of. This means that we get the SimTower experience on the Nintendo Switch.

The box is wonderfully designed with several buildings. The back of it has some screenshots which looks very familiar to those who played the previously mentioned games.

Inside it’s a different story. Just the limited warranty as well as technical support information. We also have the came cart on the other side.

Like the game box, the cart design has some buildings. Finally, this is the game design when inserted in the Nintendo Switch:

Project Highrise Architect's Edition Nintendo Switch 6

I’ll definitely be playing this game and build an awesome tower.

Unboxing Miitopia for the Nintendo Switch

Unboxing Miitopia for the Nintendo Switch

Hi everyone,

On Friday, May 21, 2021, Nintendo released Miitopia for the Nintendo Switch. This is a remaster of the original Miitopia for the Nintendo 3DS released back in 2017.

Honestly, I never played Miitopia on the 3DS, so I hope to play this game and experience it myself. This is why I pre-ordered it some time ago and finally got it on Friday.

The box presents us with different Mii characters in different situations. The back of the box shows us a description of the game.

Inside we have a simple graphic with several Mii characters, and of course, we have the game cart.

The ALKOO Case for the Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. Edition

The ALKOO Case for the Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. Edition

Hi everyone,

Since I got the Super Mario Bros. Edition Game & Watch, I’ve been playing with it occasionally, since it’s a good time spender. I must say that I’m kind of addicted to playing Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels. The game is so hard that I can’t even pass the 3rd level.

I’ve also been playing Ball, but I don’t like when the game starts as it’s very slow. However, as it progresses, I’m enjoying that challenge. The other thing I like is how the Game & Watch saves the progress so I can continue playing where I stopped last time.

Because of how I like this product, I decided to get a case to keep it safely stored. You can find a bunch of cases on Amazon, but I went with the ALKOO Case:

ALKOO Game&Watch Super Mario Edition 1

The case seem to be of good quality and it’s sure to keep our Game & Watch safe.

The interior is soft and allows us to store the Game & Watch as well as a charging cable:

ALKOO Game&Watch Super Mario Edition 4

The Game & Watch fits perfectly inside and is easy to take out too.

ALKOO Game&Watch Super Mario Edition 5

This way, it is not gathering dust, especially on the screen, since it is not protected by anything.

This case comes in 2 colors: Black and Blue. You can get them on Amazon at the following links:

The First Animal Crossing: New Horizons Anniversary

The First Animal Crossing: New Horizons Anniversary

Hi everyone,

Today it’s the first Animal Crossing: New Horizons anniversary. To commemorate it, I want to share some screenshots that I’ve taken of the game, some streaming videos, and what I enjoy of the game.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1

Since I got the game, I played it a lot at the time. A lot of the things I did involved catching fish and bugs, visiting other people’s island, and having a relaxing time in the island.

Catching bugs and fish

This is something I do a lot, first, to try to complete the museum, and second, to get additional bells, which is the in-game currency. Fishing and catching bugs, combined with the beautiful art and music, makes for a very relaxing time while playing the game:

Visiting other islands

This is fun to do to spend some time with friends, especially during these COVID-19 times where one needs to take extra precautions. Luckily, COVID-19 doesn’t exist in the game, which is why we can freely visit other island and enjoy some high quality time.

Events

The game bases its events in real time. This means that certain characters and events takes place on certain dates. Besides the events, you can also hold inaugurations when a construction is finished or something is accomplished.

Crafting and Reactions

Before you can craft something, you need to obtain receipts. Sometimes, your neighbors will give one when they are crafting something. Also, your neighbors can give you new reactions to use, which you can use at any time.

Your neighbors worry about you

If you don’t play the game for too long, your neighbors will start worrying about you.

Yes, I really didn’t played the game for some months, but now I’m back.

Streamings

The following are the live streams I did when playing Animal Crossing:

And with this, I say goodbye for today. I hope you all enjoyed seeing the game screenshots and videos. See you next time!

Unboxing the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game

Hi everyone,

Tomorrow marks the first anniversary of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a life simulation game for the Nintendo Switch where you live on an Island along other animals. The game is pretty great and is an excellent choice to spend some time relaxing. Everything from the crafting to the music is all well done.

I brought this game last year, but never published the unboxing photos I took. This is why today, I’m sharing them, as a pre-anniversary celebration.

As colorful as the game is, so is the box, as we can see here:

Animal Crossing - New Horizons Unboxing 1

Crafting is the main point of the game. You can craft stuff for yourself, or to decorate your island. This is why the crafting is featured in the box art.

Animal Crossing - New Horizons Unboxing 2

The back gives us some description of the main points of the game. Along with crafting, the game uses real time clock, meaning that you get to experience every season of the year. It’s also day and night in the game, and things that you can do and collect also depends on time.

Animal Crossing - New Horizons Unboxing 3

The box interior showcases the game travel feature, where you can go to Dodo Airlines in the game to travel to a friend’s island.

The game cart is very simple. In fact, it just have the logos and that’s it.

Animal Crossing - New Horizons on Nintendo Switch

Inserted in the switch, we have a similar graphic to the game box art.

Animal Crossing - New Horizons Update 1

But before I could play it, I had to download the software update.

Overall, it’s been a great addition to the Animal Crossing family and one that enhances the game experience even more.
