The ALKOO Case for the Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. Edition

The ALKOO Case for the Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. Edition

Hi everyone,

Since I got the Super Mario Bros. Edition Game & Watch, I’ve been playing with it occasionally, since it’s a good time spender. I must say that I’m kind of addicted to playing Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels. The game is so hard that I can’t even pass the 3rd level.

I’ve also been playing Ball, but I don’t like when the game starts as it’s very slow. However, as it progresses, I’m enjoying that challenge. The other thing I like is how the Game & Watch saves the progress so I can continue playing where I stopped last time.

Because of how I like this product, I decided to get a case to keep it safely stored. You can find a bunch of cases on Amazon, but I went with the ALKOO Case:

ALKOO Game&Watch Super Mario Edition 1

The case seem to be of good quality and it’s sure to keep our Game & Watch safe.

The interior is soft and allows us to store the Game & Watch as well as a charging cable:

The Game & Watch fits perfectly inside and is easy to take out too.

This way, it is not gathering dust, especially on the screen, since it is not protected by anything.

This case comes in 2 colors: Black and Blue. You can get them on Amazon at the following links:

The First Animal Crossing: New Horizons Anniversary

The First Animal Crossing: New Horizons Anniversary

Hi everyone,

Today it’s the first Animal Crossing: New Horizons anniversary. To commemorate it, I want to share some screenshots that I’ve taken of the game, some streaming videos, and what I enjoy of the game.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1

Since I got the game, I played it a lot at the time. A lot of the things I did involved catching fish and bugs, visiting other people’s island, and having a relaxing time in the island.

Catching bugs and fish

This is something I do a lot, first, to try to complete the museum, and second, to get additional bells, which is the in-game currency. Fishing and catching bugs, combined with the beautiful art and music, makes for a very relaxing time while playing the game:

Visiting other islands

This is fun to do to spend some time with friends, especially during these COVID-19 times where one needs to take extra precautions. Luckily, COVID-19 doesn’t exist in the game, which is why we can freely visit other island and enjoy some high quality time.

Events

The game bases its events in real time. This means that certain characters and events takes place on certain dates. Besides the events, you can also hold inaugurations when a construction is finished or something is accomplished.

Crafting and Reactions

Before you can craft something, you need to obtain receipts. Sometimes, your neighbors will give one when they are crafting something. Also, your neighbors can give you new reactions to use, which you can use at any time.

Your neighbors worry about you

If you don’t play the game for too long, your neighbors will start worrying about you.

Yes, I really didn’t played the game for some months, but now I’m back.

Streamings

The following are the live streams I did when playing Animal Crossing:

And with this, I say goodbye for today. I hope you all enjoyed seeing the game screenshots and videos. See you next time!

Unboxing the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game

Hi everyone,

Tomorrow marks the first anniversary of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a life simulation game for the Nintendo Switch where you live on an Island along other animals. The game is pretty great and is an excellent choice to spend some time relaxing. Everything from the crafting to the music is all well done.

I brought this game last year, but never published the unboxing photos I took. This is why today, I’m sharing them, as a pre-anniversary celebration.

As colorful as the game is, so is the box, as we can see here:

Animal Crossing - New Horizons Unboxing 1

Crafting is the main point of the game. You can craft stuff for yourself, or to decorate your island. This is why the crafting is featured in the box art.

Animal Crossing - New Horizons Unboxing 2

The back gives us some description of the main points of the game. Along with crafting, the game uses real time clock, meaning that you get to experience every season of the year. It’s also day and night in the game, and things that you can do and collect also depends on time.

Animal Crossing - New Horizons Unboxing 3

The box interior showcases the game travel feature, where you can go to Dodo Airlines in the game to travel to a friend’s island.

The game cart is very simple. In fact, it just have the logos and that’s it.

Inserted in the switch, we have a similar graphic to the game box art.

Animal Crossing - New Horizons Update 1

But before I could play it, I had to download the software update.

Overall, it’s been a great addition to the Animal Crossing family and one that enhances the game experience even more.

The Cuziss Game Boy Micro USB Charging Cable

The Cuziss Game Boy Micro USB Charging Cable

Hi everyone,

Last month, I got this USB cable to be able to charge my Game Boy Micro:

The cable is USB-A in one end and has the Game Boy Micro connector on the other side. It fits flawlessly in it:

Cuziss USB Power Supply Charger Cable Cord Compatible for Nintendo GBM Game Boy Micro Console 3

It also charges well when connected to a computer USB port:

Cuziss USB Power Supply Charger Cable Cord Compatible for Nintendo GBM Game Boy Micro Console 4

The Game Boy Micro draws about 160-180mA of power when charging, as we can see on the USB meter. It took a while to charge, but it’s been working fine. It also has to be noted that the Game Boy Micro rated input voltage is 5.2V. Since it is being plugged into a laptop USB port, the voltage is lower. This, however, didn’t seem to affect charging.

It feels good to be able to play games again on it, after losing the original charger. It’s also more convenient to plug it on a USB port to charge it when needed.

You can get this cable on Amazon here:

Replacement X-Longer Nintendo 3DS XL Battery

Replacement X-Longer Nintendo 3DS XL Battery

Hi everyone,

In the past week, I wanted to play with my Nintendo 3DS XL, which I’ve had since launch day. I opened the unit to manage some data on the MicroSD card, when, unfortunately, I noticed something strange with the unit, a swollen battery.

3DS Battery 1

This is not new to me. I’ve had swollen batteries on my old phones and had to change them maybe once per year. Some batteries were not that swollen while others were more noticeable. Now, for this Nintendo 3DS, I’ve never replaced the battery since I got it, so it has actually lasted since the beginning. Another thing is that while the battery was swollen, the system would charge well. Who knows since when the battery was swollen, since I very rarely take out the Micro SD card.

Because of this, I began looking for replacement batteries. One that showed up is the X-Longer Nintendo 3DS XL replacement battery.

3DS Battery 2

X-Longer are batteries made by Cameron Sino, which I’ve had a good experience with their batteries in the past, so I decided to get it. Here’s a better look at the battery:

The battery just fits right in the console and charges fine! Now I can go back and play those Pokémon games I’ve still have to play.

Hi everyone,

Today, I’ll share some photos of the Super Mario 3D All Stars box and game cart. Also, I’ll share some game images and videos of the Super Mario 64 games below.

I got this game on release date and began playing it casually. I haven’t yet played Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy, which is why this post will show only content of Super Mario 64.

Super Mario 64 Screenshots and Videos

I’ve just played Super Mario 64. Overall, I like how the game looks, but I struggle with the controls. My problem is that the camera controls sometimes gets in the way of the game, but overall, I’m very pleased with the game presentation on the system. Below, you can see some images and videos of the game, taken with the Switch Screenshot button.

Videos

I’ll play the other 2 games later. In reality, I’ve never actually played them in their original systems, so that will be a new adventure for me.
